יש כאלה שתמיד יתלוננו ששתו להם ואכלו להם, שמתעלמים מהם ושלא סופרים אותם. יש כאלה שלא יקטרו אלא יתפסו יזמה ויגדילו ראש.
הנה מה שקרה למורן סמואל, הספורטאית הישראלית הנכה והמקסימה, שזכתה בפרס ראשון בתחרות חתירה לנכים שהתקיימה לפני כמה ימים בגבירטה שבאיטליה.
המארגנים, ככל הנראה, לא לקחו בחשבון שהישראלית תזכה במקום הראשון ולכן לא דאגו שיהיה להם את ההמנון הישראלי. כשמורן זכתה הם השמיעו שיר אחר, משהו ליד, כאילו, אבל לא את הדבר האמתי.
(תיקון: ראו את המכתב למטה! מה שהיה להם זו 'התקווה' בגירסה של אנריקו מסיאס. אם מורן הייתה מחכה עוד כמה שניות הכל היה מסתדר...)
מורן לא התבלבלה. היא ביקשה את המיקרופון ושרה בקול צלול וגאה את 'התקווה'. הקהל הגיב במחיאות כפיים סוערות.

Note how the first thirty seconds don't sound at all like Hatikvah; they are a new musical introduction. If you google for "Israeli Anthem", two of the three video results have this added introduction
Now watch again the video on your blog post. You can hear clearly that they're playing the Macias version
So obviously the organizers *did* take care to provide a copy of Hatikva---it was just one that Ms. Samuel didn't recognize right off. Had they waited another fifteen seconds before stopping the recording, all would have been well.
The most one might argue is that the organizers could have been more careful to get an "official" version of Hatikvah, if there is such a thing. At least they got the right anthem, unlike at the 10th Annual Shooting Championship in Kuwait last March. When a gold medal was won by a woman from Kazakhstan, they played what they thought was the Kazakhstani national anthem, which they had retrieved online. Unfortunately, they had mistakenly obtained the version of the anthem from from the movie "Borat":
